What you can expect from us, and what we ask of you.

About these terms
These terms cover your use of neuroendocrinecancer.org.nz and the services we provide through it (newsletter, member account, Zoom registrations, donations, hardship fund, HCP database). NeuroEndocrine Cancer New Zealand (NECNZ) is a New Zealand registered charity (CC49802).
Information, not medical advice
Our patient guides, articles and Zoom sessions are evidence-based and reviewed by clinicians, but they're general information — not personal medical advice. Always talk to your treating team about your specific situation. Don't delay seeking medical care because of something you read here.
Donations & tax credits
Donations are processed by Stripe under their security and privacy terms. Donations of $5 or more are eligible for a 33⅓% tax credit through Inland Revenue (form IR526). We email a tax receipt with each successful donation. Recurring donations can be cancelled any time by contacting us; we'll cancel the subscription in Stripe within 2 working days.
Member accounts
Free, optional. Create one to track your donations and access member-only resources. We use email-based one-time codes — no password to remember. Don't share your email-OTP with anyone. We can deactivate accounts that breach these terms or our community guidelines.
Hardship fund
Eligibility, decisions and amounts are at the discretion of the NECNZ team. The fund is supported by donations and may pause when funds are low. Submitting an application doesn't guarantee support; we'll come back to you within 5 working days with a decision either way.
Use of the site
You agree not to misuse the site (no scraping, automated submissions, attempting to access non-public data, or interfering with operations). We use Cloudflare Turnstile for spam protection. Persistent abuse may lead to access being blocked.
Content & copyright
Content on this site is owned by NECNZ or used with permission. Patient stories belong to the people who shared them. You're welcome to share links and quote short excerpts with attribution. For any other use, please email info@neuroendocrinecancer.org.nz.
Liability
We do our best to keep the site accurate, available and secure. Use of the site is at your own risk. To the extent permitted by law (and the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993), we're not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the site.
Governing law
These terms are governed by New Zealand law. Any dispute will be resolved in the New Zealand courts.
Changes
If we change these terms materially we'll post a banner on the site for 30 days. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
