Who we are

NeuroEndocrine Cancer New Zealand (NECNZ) is a registered charity (CC49802, NZBN 9429046320391). We're the patient-led national charity for Kiwis affected by neuroendocrine cancer. Postal: PO Box 87064, Meadowbank, Auckland 1742. Email: info@neuroendocrinecancer.org.nz.

What we collect

Information you give us when you sign up for the newsletter, book a call, register for a Zoom session, donate, apply for hardship support, register as a healthcare professional, or sign up for a member account. The exact fields are shown on each form. We don't collect more than we need.

How we use it

To do the thing you asked us to do (call you back, send the newsletter, process the donation), to keep our patient-support records up to date, and to comply with our legal obligations as a registered charity. We never sell or rent your information.

Sharing with other organisations

Patient-support information stays inside NECNZ. If a situation comes up where it would help to loop in someone outside NECNZ — your treating team, another patient charity, or a hardship-fund partner — we ask you first and only share what's needed for that specific purpose. We don't have standing data-sharing arrangements with any partner; every share is a one-off with your approval.

Service providers we use

To run the website and our day-to-day work we use a small set of NZ-friendly suppliers as data processors on our behalf: Vercel and Neon (hosting + database, ap-southeast-2 region), Postmark (transactional email), Mailchimp (newsletter), Stripe (donations), Cloudflare (spam protection), and Salesforce (our CRM). They're contractually limited to the purpose we engage them for and don't get to use your information for their own marketing.

Hardship form

Hardship applications include sensitive financial and clinical information. The application is encrypted at rest, only the small NECNZ team that reviews applications can see it, and we never email it to anyone. We retain hardship applications for 7 years for audit purposes.

Cookies & analytics

We use first-party cookies for sign-in sessions and to remember UTM parameters from inbound links so we know how people found us. We use Vercel Analytics (privacy-friendly, no cross-site tracking) and Google Analytics 4 (anonymised). You can opt out of GA4 with any standard browser tool.

Your rights

Under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 you have the right to access the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it (subject to our legal obligations), and complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner. Email info@neuroendocrinecancer.org.nz with any access or correction request — we'll come back within 20 working days.

Updates

If we change this policy materially we'll email anyone who's subscribed to the newsletter and post a banner at the top of the site for 30 days.
